Emotional freedom technique (EFT)
EFT, often known as “tapping”, is a gentle therapeutic approach that works with the connection between the body, emotions, and nervous system. By lightly tapping on specific acupressure points while bringing awareness to thoughts, feelings, memories, or patterns, EFT helps the body process stress in a calmer and more regulated way.
Many of us carry emotional tension without even realising it. Stressful experiences, overwhelm, anxiety, self-doubt, grief, or long-standing emotional patterns can become held within the body and nervous system, influencing how we feel, respond, and function day to day. EFT creates space for these patterns to soften, helping the body move out of a heightened stress response and into a more grounded, balanced state.
EFT can be offered both as a one-to-one therapy and within group sessions, workshops, or corporate wellbeing settings. One-to-one sessions allow for deeper personalised support around specific experiences, emotional patterns, stress, confidence, fears, or life challenges, while group sessions can create a shared sense of calm, connection, emotional safety, and collective regulation.
Many people find EFT supportive for stress reduction, nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, burnout, confidence, performance anxiety, and personal growth. It can also work beautifully alongside other holistic or therapeutic approaches.
At ATTA, we see EFT as a beautiful bridge between mind and body. It is not about forcing change or endlessly analysing the past, but about helping the system feel safer, calmer, and more able to process life with greater ease and clarity.
